The battery for the ASX is actually potted and sealed into the aluminum housing. The battery is actually the back half of flashlight. You unscrew that flashlight, separating it into 2 pieces (this must be done to place it in the case normally). You can replace and/or swap the battery by simply screwing on the battery/housing assembly.
