Description:

The Larson Electronics EPFDS-30A-3P-AXC explosion proof 30 amp fusible disconnect switch/breaker with auxiliary contacts provide operators with a Class I and II, Division 1 and 2 cast aluminum enclosure that provides overcurrent and short circuit protection of service entrance, feeder or branch circuits, lighting, heating, appliance and motor circuits. This explosion proof disconnect switch and breaker features an EHD frame and has a 3-Pole configuration. The EPFDS-30A-3P-AXC operates on a maximum of 600V AC or 125V DC and features two cast 2″ conduit hubs, one on the north side, one on the south side; and two cast 0.5″ conduit hubs, one on the north side, one on the south side. The EPFDS-30A-3P-AXC is fusible at 30 amps with operator provided fuses.

The EPFDS-30A-3P-AXC explosion proof disconnect switch / breaker is made of cast aluminum and features a rectangular bolted cover design for uniform and attractive installations. The cover bolts are made from stainless steel. The external on/off lever can be locked into the “off” position with room for up to three padlocks for superior security. The internal circuit breaker handle mechanism is a sliding plate type mounted to the cover. The circuit breaker is trip free of the external handle mechanism.

This explosion proof device is equipped with auxiliary contacts. The supplementary components function as a low-power relay and are typically used with other contactors. The auxiliary contacts change state with the main contacts but are equipped with lower power ratings.

Applications: Petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas, and other processing facilities where hazardous substances are handled or stored.
