PEDESTAL PRO 42-9C-ALUM-BLK 42″ Aluminum Pedestal, Architectural

A beautiful aluminum pedestal for cars and pedestrians (See “Vehicle Height Chart”.) Meant to mount card readers, cameras, intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, housings, and other access control devices. M ost often installed for automatic gate entry and exit, parking lot, door, lobby, and ingress/egress applications. Includes a face plate with universal holes patterns, heavy duty base plate, and a sliding cover plate to hide the mounting bolts that secu re the base. Whereas a competing pedestal may be made from .074″ wall tube, this pedestal is made from .155″ wall tube– twice the aluminum. Aluminum pedestals are sought mainly for rust protection; however, aluminum is a soft material and is more easi ly bent and damaged than steel or stainless steel. Aluminum pedestals are also more expensive to fabricate than stainless steel pedestals; therefore, Pedestal PRO recommends stainless over aluminum for weatherability, strength, and cost. The neck is cu t and welded to form an architectural design while allowing the wiring to pass easily from the ground, through the pedestal, and into the access control device– making installation very convenient. Furthermore, this pedestal is first bead-blasted to e liminate contaminants and blemishes, then powder coated with an outdoor rated TGIC polyester finish with UV protectant to help promote longevity in any weather condition. Each pedestal includes carriage bolt hardware and is then wrapped in foam packagi ng and boxed individually for safe shipping. Customized colors, heights, reaches, face plates and base plates are available– additional costs and lead times may apply. A pedestal is often sold with a mounting bolt kit and card reader housing for a com plete turnkey solution.
