Description:
The Larson Electronics EPNFDS-400A-3P Explosion Proof Non-fused Disconnect Switch provides operators with a Class I and II, Divisions 1 and 2 cast aluminum enclosure that provides overcurrent and short circuit protection of service entrance, feeder or branch circuits, lighting, heating, appliance and motor circuits. This 400-amp explosion proof disconnect switch features an EHD frame and has a 3-pole configuration. The EPNFDS-400A-3P operates on a maximum of 600V AC and features three NPT hubs for wiring connections.

The EPNFDS-400A-3P explosion proof disconnect switch is made of cast aluminum and features a rectangular bolted cover design for uniform and attractive installations. The cover bolts and hinges are made from stainless steel. The external on/off lever can be locked into the “off” position with room for up to three padlocks for superior security. The internal circuit breaker handle mechanism is a sliding plate type mounted to the cover. The circuit breaker is trip free of the external handle mechanism.
Hubs: For completing electrical connections, three NPT hubs are provided on the enclosure. Two 3″ NPT hubs are located at the top of the unit; and one 0.5″ NPT hub can be found at the bottom of the disconnect.
Applications: Petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas, and other processing facilities where hazardous substances are handled or stored.
