This buffer plate is designed to help. It improves the reader?s range by se parating your RF reader a full inch away from the metal surface and provides a High Density Polyethelene (HDPE) insulator. With its universal, pre-drilled & countersunk hole patterns and other markings, this buffer plate is designed to be very little w ork for an installer to use on any combination of reader, pedestal, housing, wall, etc. The countersunk holes allow the use of socket wrenches and recessed nuts so your card reader will mount flush.
